A collection of approximately 128 modern British fifty pence (50p) coins, mostly heptagonal in shape and composed of a silver-toned base metal. These commemorative coins feature a diverse range of designs, including numerous examples from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games series (depicting sports such as swimming, archery, javelin, cycling, taekwondo, badminton, and weightlifting). Other themes include historical events like Women’s Suffrage (with the date “1918” visible on some), and cultural figures and characters such as Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit, Flopsy Bunny, Squirrel Nutkin, Paddington Bear, Sherlock Holmes, and Benjamin Britten.
