The medal features the crowned effigy of King George VI on the obverse, inscribed “GEORGIVS VI D:G: BR: OMN: REX F:D: IND: IMP:”. It is suspended from the original striped ribbon (purple, green, and black) and bears the engraved bar clasp “PALESTINE 1945-48”. The accompanying document is a typed letter dated 13 MAR 1950 from Royal Signals Records, Caversham, confirming the award of the GSM with the Palestine 1945/48 clasp.
