Description
This model is a Hornby R261 Class E2 0-6-0 tank locomotive, modeled after the Southern Railway prototype. The item is designed for OO gauge model railway systems. The construction features a molded plastic body shell mounted on a metal chassis with metal wheels and coupling rods. The locomotive is finished in Southern Railway olive green livery with white lining on the tanks and bunker. The side tanks are marked with the word SOUTHERN in a gold-toned serif font above the numerals 104. Additional features include a black-painted smokebox, red-painted buffer beams, and an electric motor mechanism designed for operation on powered tracks. The locomotive is presented on a black rectangular plastic display base.
Condition report:
The locomotive is in good, complete condition. The original paint and lettering are well-preserved with minimal signs of handling.
