The sculpture is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the delicate tail feathers or the perforated leaf edges (photo 1). The polychrome paint remains vibrant and shows no signs of wear or fading. The wooden base is well-preserved with no significant scuffs or marks.
